Skincare as Self Care

Image
I love using my skincare routine as a form of self care. After a stressful day at work or a bad mental health day, coming home and pampering myself, even if only by doing my skincare routine, is a good way to relieve some of that stress. Self care in general has so many benefits , such as improving your mental health as well as physical health, helping improve your relationships, and reducing stress. It doesn't have to be something big either, it can be as simple as taking a bubble bath, going for a walk outside, or flossing after brushing your teeth. Here are some self care tips to work into your skincare routine: Double cleanse to make sure your make up is totally removed When using our Smoothing Cleanser, dampen your face cloth in warm water and then lay it on your face for a couple of minutes while you breathe in the essential oils Use a jade roller to apply your serums or oils Try giving yourself a face massage when applying your face oil Apply tamanu balm to any spots, scra...

3 Easy Skincare Swaps

Image
You don't have to ditch your whole routine to start treating your skin better. I know for a lot of people building an entire new routine can be costly, so here are three easy ways to swap your current skincare for a Tropic product! 1. Scrap the make up wipes Make up/face wipes may be designed to remove make up, but are they even doing that effectively? Hint: probably not. They're also not formulated to actually cleanse the skin, so even after you've removed the make up, your skin still hasn't been properly cleansed. Used daily these wipes can cause more damage to your skin than you'd think, and they have a habit of drying the skin out. Not only that but they pile up at landfill which isn't great for the environment. Considering the UK uses around 11 million of these per year, that very quickly adds up when they don't biodegrade! The swap? Smoothing Cleanser | £18 Our Smoothing Cleanser is suitable for all skin types and comes in an unscented version for th...

Social Selling Before Tropic

Image
Social selling has always been something that I've done, even though I wasn't aware I was even doing it. If you use social media, you have probably taken part in social selling. So - what is it? Depending on who you ask, social selling has slightly different definitions. Simply put, I like to define it as using your social media and content to recommend or highlight a product/service. Think about it - how many times have you recommended a product to your friends? How many times have you posted a snapshot of food from a restaurant you visited on your Instagram story? That's social selling... You're just not always getting paid for it. For pretty much the whole three years that I've been using Tropic, I've been posting on my social media about it. I'd been social selling these products for years without getting paid - but as an Ambassador I'm now getting paid to promote these products!  My customers who follow my personal Instagram know how long I've...

Going Virtual

Image
Covid has brought lots of challenges to everyone, but one hurdle that social sellers like me will need to get over is taking our business totally virtual... At least for the near future. One of the ways to earn money through Tropic is by offering Pampers - essentially like a party. You have a Hostess who invites friends/family round, you demo the products, you talk about the Tropic business, and you leave with some orders. But right now that's not really possible. For the foreseeable future I'll be offering these in person services as virtual alternatives. The same perks, the same level of service, just totally online through Zoom or similar.  Virtual Pampers Skincare consults Tailored, personal skincare advice Virtual festive shopping experiences Product recommendations All of these services are totally free and there's no obligation to purchase any products, or put in a minimum order.  I do truly love talking about skincare, especially Tropic, so I adore doing skincar...
