Skincare as Self Care
I love using my skincare routine as a form of self care. After a stressful day at work or a bad mental health day, coming home and pampering myself, even if only by doing my skincare routine, is a good way to relieve some of that stress.
Self care in general has so many benefits , such as improving your mental health as well as physical health, helping improve your relationships, and reducing stress. It doesn't have to be something big either, it can be as simple as taking a bubble bath, going for a walk outside, or flossing after brushing your teeth.
Here are some self care tips to work into your skincare routine:
- Double cleanse to make sure your make up is totally removed
- When using our Smoothing Cleanser, dampen your face cloth in warm water and then lay it on your face for a couple of minutes while you breathe in the essential oils
- Use a jade roller to apply your serums or oils
- Try giving yourself a face massage when applying your face oil
- Apply tamanu balm to any spots, scrapes or stretch marks you're feeling a little insecure about
- If your lips are feeling a little chapped, try putting on Eye Dream as an intensive, overnight lip mask
