Morning Skincare Routine

If there's one thing I've learned through having bad skin, it's not to miss out on that morning routine! It's such a crucial part of keeping your skin healthy as it takes away the bacteria, oil, and leftover product from my evening routine. I usually keep it fairly simple in the morning. Continue reading and find out exactly what my routine is!

Step 1: Cleanse

I will never use anything but the Smoothing Cleanser, and I haven't for the last three years. Just 1-2 pumps gives me all that I need to cleanse my skin in the morning, then I simply wipe it away with a facial sponge. It leaves my skin soft and pristine.

Hero ingredients:

  • Green tea extract
  • Golden jojoba oil
  • Eucalyptus (scented version only)
  • Rosemary (scented version only)

Step 2: Tone

Toning is such an important part of a skincare routine but I feel like not many people take advantage of it! The Vitamin Toner helps to balance your skin's pH, reduces the appearance of pores, and even helps to brighten your complexion. It's so refreshing and it smells divine! You'll regret not using it sooner...

Hero ingredients:

  • Aloe vera juice
  • Rose water
  • Cucumber juice
  • Vitamins B3, B5 & C

Step 3: Eye Cream

As someone who is constantly tired which results in dark spots under my eyes, this product is a life saver! Eye Work is a rejuvenating, instantly cooling serum that also works to brighten and soothe. I love how refreshing it is in the morning.

Hero ingredients:

  • Coffee cherry and hibiscus peptides
  • Turmeric
  • Cucumber
  • Vitimin C

Step 4: Serum

The Pure Lagoon serum is a must have product for any upset or blemish-prone skin. It's fast absorbing, non-sticky, non-greasy, and super hydrating. It helps to feed your skin's eco flora which in turn helps fight against blemishes. I use this twice a day when my skin is particularly bad and reduce to once if it's more settled. I couldn't live without this serum!

Hero ingredients:

  • Blue spirulina
  • Vitamin B3
  • Zinch PCA
  • Prebiotics

Step 5: Moisturise

Even if you have oily skin, you cannot forget to moisturise! Skin Feast gives my skin the hydration it needs without making it overly oily or greasy. It smells amazing and it always leaves my skin feeling super soft.

Hero ingredients:

  • Australian kakadu plum
  • Hyaluronic acid
  • Strawberry, blackcurrant, raspberry, blueberry, cranberry, and rosehip oils

Step 6: SPF

A lot of people assume that they don't need SPF if they're staying indoors or it's the Winter months. Every day your skin is exposed to harmful UV rays and free radicals, even if you don't realise it. Sun Day Facial UV Defence is lightweight, non-greasy and makes a great primer for make up. Pro tip: if you're concerned with fine lines and wrinkles, the earlier in life you start wearing SPF, the better!

Hero ingredients:

  • Plant polymers
  • Hibiscus extract
  • Hyaluronic acid

And there you have it - that's how I care for my skin every single morning! It's such a great start to the day and when my skin feels good, I feel good!
